ResourcesEDUCAUSE ResourcesThe EDUCAUSE Connect Cybersecurity Resource Page provides extensive coverage of security policy and technology topics of interest to administrators inside academia. It aggregates information from blogs, conference sessions, EDUCAUSE publications and more. The Effective Security Practices Guide shares practical approaches to preventing, detecting, and responding to IT security problems in a wide range of higher education environments. The resource can be made even more effective by contributing information of your own. The Center for Internet Security Benchmarks and Software Tools are available to EDUCAUSE institutional members at a 50 percent discount, with a license to redistribute on college- and university-owned systems. As a result of a relationship between EDUCAUSE and CIS, these resources allow institutional members to assess and measurably improve the security configuration status of their IT systems and networks. Sponsored by the EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Computer and Network Security Task Force, the Security Discussion Group provides a forum to identify problems and share strategies or solutions to improve the security of college and university computers and networks. The discussion group also informs the task force leadership of current issues and trends and helps identify and promote best practices. Subscribe to the group or browse discussion archives.
