Do you use social media as part of your awareness campaigns? Here are a few tips.
- Let your community know how your campus supports cybersecurity and privacy awareness and use a consistent hashtag in your posts.
- Consider posts that start conversations and be prepared to respond.
- Share tips and best practices on a regular basis. Pick a day of the week to share tips or spread them out. Help set expectations by including hashtags like #CyberSelfDefense #Friday.
- Go multimedia and point to resources with additional information. Include pictures and videos in your posts to make them interesting both content-wise and visually.
- Host a Twitter chat or participate in the #ChatSTC Twitter chats.
