Abstract
This brief study documents the deployment of wireless networking at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). SLCC President Lynn Cundiff assumed office in 2000 to find none of the College's dormitories had been wired. This ECAR case describes SLCC's decision to use wireless networking to address community needs and how a campus wide wireless network was designed, funded, and completed by March 2002. This study also addresses the patterns of wireless usage at this community college and addresses how the IT leadership of this institution thinks about the future of wireless at SLCC.
