Abstract

The British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education in partnership with BC postsecondary institutions and the Centre for Education Information Standards and Services (CEISS) is implementing 22 data warehouses to collect standard data for reporting and analysis purposes. Data quality is a paramount concern. This presentation will detail the methods the project developed for assessing data quality, conducting data validation and cleaning, and implementing business practice changes to improve data quality in future.
