This report from SRI International summarizes the first-year progress of the Domain-Specific Assessment project, a prototype assessment design effort funded by the U.S. Department of Education to define general education outcomes for community colleges. This project is designed to inform discussions of Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and align classroom outcomes with program and institutional level outcomes. Community college faculty input and student work are central to the assessment design.
