Abstract
This group of case studies from the United Kingdom organization, Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, focuses on the UK higher education student experience. "The student experience represents an area of vital importance to higher education providers as they face the greatest changes affecting the sector in a generation. On the one hand, institutions need to provide services that meet the expectations of students who are committing substantial sums of money to their studies and who are behaving increasingly as consumers. On the other hand, the sector is likely to be transformed by government initiatives that are placing institutions under substantial pressure and forcing them to rethink their activities and how they operate."
