Abstract
This research bulletin uses data from Modules 1 and 7 of the EDUCAUSE Core Data Service to examine the current state of information security in higher education. Using a graphic-based format, this bulletin addresses the importance of information security, specifically addressing budgets and staffing and the ways in which responsibility for various elements of information security is typically assigned. The bulletin is based on 693 responses from U.S. institutions with a Carnegie class of AA, BA, MA, or DR.
